We’d been looking for an extension lead that would match the aesthetic of the room. This is perfect, looks great and no issues with functionality.
Avolt has taken something as ordinary as a plug extension and transformed it into a statement of design. Packaged with the same level of care and presentation you’d expect from Apple, the product immediately conveys a sense of premium quality.
The unit itself is sleek, understated, and elegant. I chose the black finish, which pairs perfectly with a silver-and-black MacBook Pro setup. It looks just as good on a desk as it does tucked neatly on the floor, though its pristine finish makes you want to treat it with the same care as any high-end accessory.
One standout feature is the integrated magnet. It’s impressively strong — perhaps stronger than expected — ensuring the extension stays put. Still, an additional magnetic base, or the option to purchase extras separately, would add even more versatility around the home.
There are a few refinements Avolt could consider: a cable that’s slightly longer, and colour-matched cable management straps to elevate usability. The black finish also attracts fingerprints, but this is easily remedied with a quick wipe.
Delivery was efficient, the outer box easy to open, and the unboxing experience satisfying. Overall, this is an 8/10 product — functional yet aspirational. Avolt is fast earning its reputation as the “Apple of plug extensions,” and if this is a sign of what’s to come, I’ll be first in line for their next release.

Ik heb een tijd geleden al eentje met kabel besteld bij de Bijenkorf en eentje zonder kabel bij Avolt. Omdat het mij zo goed bevalt, er nu ook een plakker meegeleverd zou worden, heb ik nog een met en één zonder kabel besteld. Ben ik van al de kabels over de vloer af. Alles achter dressoir of hoe het nu mag heten. Fantastisch!! Een aanbeveling. Zijn prijs meer dan waard. Eigenlijk zonde dat het achter een kast verdwijnt 😛
Maar, drie niet. Mooier kun je het niet hebben/krijgen. Dikke pluim!
